By 2010, AOR2 NWU had expanded to expeditionary forces, then being issued to SEALS, ground-based sailors, EOD technicians, Seabees, and riverine squads till 2012. By 2016, the U.S. Navy announced that the SEAL-inspired camouflage pattern would replace the widely ineffective NWU Type I \"Blueberries\", and by 2017 AOR2 NWU Type III was being shipped to boot camps. On October 1, 2019, NWU Type I would officially be retired and replaced by NWU Type III as you see here!
