Additionally, these bed nets were originally designed to be strapped onto cots with the buckles on each corner and one in the center, numbering 5 in total, but were so loved by the Marines that they would use them in the field as the Burrow can also be staked into the ground using the same buckles to create a secure and durable loop if properly done. This allows for the Burrow to be set up and attached to a cot for secure sleep throughout the night, or staked into the ground if sleeping in the field.
